Registry file is the database of the computer system that 
stores all the activity that are occurs in the computer system. The all activities are recorded and used for the further activities. Registry file is the main register of the computer system because by using this database recourses are provided to the programs that are executed on to the computer system.
It can store all information about the computer activities such as where the application programs and their icons are stored, all information about the drivers, all information about DLL files, and it also store the list of all start-menu shortcuts.
Registry file is used to execute any application program on to the system, but sometimes due to registry files errors are occurred in to the computer system. Registry errors are occurred if any application programs are uninstalled from the computer system but their supported files or folders are not completely uninstalled from the hard drive of the computer or their registry entries are still present in the registry files.
